Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are very thin layers of porcelain which are fitted onto the front of your teeth, providing results usually in two weeks or less! They are effective at hiding or disguising a wide range of problems including:

Staining: Not all staining can be removed by teeth whitening or other bleaching treatments. Veneers cover the stains, giving you a sparkling white smile.

Chips, cracks and gaps: Dental veneers can effectively hide any chips, cracks and gaps, giving you a more uniform smile.
Misaligned or crooked teeth: If your teeth are not severely misaligned, veneers can be placed over the front to make your teeth appear straight and even, they can also be used alongside orthodontic treatments.

Hiding imperfections
Dental veneers are great at hiding a number of imperfections, including stained or misaligned teeth and chips, cracks and gaps.
They are often used for providing smile makeovers, and are often used to transform looks in cosmetic makeover programmes as seen on TV.

The procedure for fitting veneers
Once you have had your initial consultation, we will need to prepare your teeth. This can involve removing a very thin layer from the front of your teeth with local anaesthetics and often no reduction at all is required.
We then take an impression (mould) of your teeth, and fit temporary veneers to your teeth before you leave your first appointment.

Your veneers are carefully crafted by skilled technicians at a dental lab, a process which usually takes about two weeks (this can be done quicker for an express case on request).

The final stage is to have your veneers bonded permanently into place, providing you with a great new smile.
